I'm very pleased with the performance of the mount, and I have no complaints at all after 10 years of use. No worries, I'm ordering the 70 durometer bushings to replace the original 62 durometer bushings. Suspicious it was the motor mount, I pulled it and found the upper bushing hole was slightly oval and this was further confirmed by the scuff pattern on top of the billet aluminum. Just recently I noticed some slight thunking coming from under the car when transitioning from reverse to 1st. It was an immediate improvement over the stock motor mount and has lasted 10 years without any troubles. I bought this rear motor mount in 2008 shortly after purchasing my 2007 Speed3. The mounts are usually available in different durometer ratings (hardness) in 62, 70, 88, and 95, depending on application. Urethane mounts are a great way to control drive line lash. ![]() ![]() In other cases, we completely fabricate our own design, new metal mounts with our urethane inserts. ![]() In some cases we simply replace the stock rubber with Urethane inserts utilizing the stock metal mount casings. Urethane Engine Mounts from AWR benefits both street and track cars. Instead of wasted torque turning the engine and trans in their mounts, the power is put to the ground right away. With AWR’s urethane engine mounts, you’ll benefit by reducing or eliminating drive line lash, as well as by receiving better throttle response. You step on the throttle and some of the torque is used to twist the engine in it’s mounts, rather than going through the drive line to the wheels.
